거친 비바람을 뚫고 오징어 조업을 위해 경력 35년의 베테랑 채홍원 선장과 세 명의 선원들이 만선의 꿈을 안고 바다로 나섰다. 먼저 오징어를 낚는 사람이 임자인 이곳은 바로 해상 전쟁터! 장장 5시간을 달려 도착한 곳은 다름 아닌 울릉도?! 시시각각 변하는 바다 위에서 펼쳐지는 오징어와의 한판 승부. 해 질 무렵부터 시작된 오징어 조업은 해가 뜰 때까지 계속되는데. 오징어를 잡기 위해서는 타이밍이 생명! 끝이 보이지 않는 밤샘 조업에 피로가 몰려오지만 단 한 마리의 오징어도 놓치지 않기 위해 쉴 새 없이 채낚기를 돌리는 사람들. 오직 가족을 위해서 오징어 조업에 나섰다는데. 과연 이들은 만선의 기쁨을 안고 항구로 돌아올 수 있을까?
