Queen's Gaze: Overview of the Special Opening of Gyo Tae-jeon
Gyo Tae-jeon is open for special viewing to commemorate the 30th anniversary of its restoration, and you can visit after making a reservation in advance.
Reservation Method:
Gungneung Historic Site Headquarters website: You can make a reservation through the official website (royal.khs.go.kr).
Reservation Start Date: Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis from 2:00 PM on April 30, 2025.
Reservation Number: Limited to 15 people per session (1 ticket per person). We recommend that you make a reservation early.
Visit Period: From Thursday, May 8, 2025 to Friday, June 27, 2025, open every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Visit Time: Operates 10 times a day, and each session is 20 minutes of free viewing. 10:00~10:20, 10:30~10:50, 11:00~11:20, 12:30~12:50, 13:00~13:20, 13:30~13:50, 14:00~14:20, 14:30~14:50, 15:00~15:20, 15:30~15:50
Admission: Free. (However, the Gyeongbokgung Palace entrance fee is separate.)

Inside Gyotaejeon, you can view an exhibition that recreates the queen's life.
In the annex 'Geonsungak', which is being opened to the public for the first time, you can experience a realistic video based on the mural painting and take a commemorative photo.
In the corridor connecting Gyotaejeon and Geonsungak, you can enjoy the queen's garden, Amisan, from a different perspective.
Tip:
Since reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis, it is recommended that you decide on your desired date and time in advance and try to arrive at the reservation start time.
You must prepare the Gyeongbokgung Palace entrance fee separately.
Please wear comfortable shoes when visiting.
